Technique of The Week

This one is called “Cuo Tui” and it comes from Coach Ma Jianguo.The trick is to get your opponents weight on his front foot and then change direction quickly. Remember to place your hand just above the opponents knee.

Master Li Baoru

Master Li Baoru (��如) is a walking encyclopedia of grappling techniques. Since the age of 13 Li Baoru has been practicing, competing, coaching, and promoting Shuaijiao. He was one of the key people involved in the creation of Modern Sanda in the early 80’s and added to it most of what made Sanda different from other fighting sports at the time – throws and takedowns. He has also consulted for Men’s and Women’s The Chinese National Judo and Wrestling Teams.
